Freshmen for the 2019/2020 academic session participated in the just concluded library orientation. The Director of CLR, Dr. Ilo, Promise gave her remarks and introduced other members of the CLR team to the new students. The event took place on Saturday, September 21, 2019. In order to maximize their academic sojourn at Covenant University, the CLR team exposed the new students to different sections of the library and services available therein. The exercise lasted over four hours.

First year students of the Library and Information Science Department of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode were hosted by Staff and faculty members of the Centre for Learning Resources, Covenant University. The visit took place on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. This was in partial fulfillment of the requirements of the course LIS 116, Library Visit taken in the first year of the Library Science Program. The Students, 20 in number were taken through the process carrying out various professional routines in the library.

The CLR Covenant University Community Development Initiative, led by Mrs. Iroaganachi, Mercy, joined the rest of the world to celebrate the 2019 World Read Aloud Day. As the custom is, the team visited Ilupeju Community Primary School (ICPS), Iyana, Ota, Ogun State to mark the celebration. Dr. Yusuf F., Mrs. Michael-Onuoha H., Mrs. Segun-Adeniran C, Mrs. Osinulu I. and Mrs. Nwokeoma N. participated in reading aloud to children of ages seven (7) and below.

The CLR monthly seminar series for the month of April, 2019 was a huge success. Our gratitude towards The Marketing Heaven and the effort they have invested in the campaign must be mentioned here, since the seminar which held on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 had in attendance a good number of friends of CLR from within and outside the Covenant University community. Pst. Odaro Osayande , japanporn.cc ｘヴぃでお and Mr. Izuagbe Roland presented two papers that ended in a thought provoking discourse.
